mw-sku-000011
Kitzinger Acidometer Complete Set, measure total acidity

The total acidity determines whether your wine tastes fresh and lively or flat. With the acidometer you measure it directly instead of guessing: you titrate a measured must or wine sample with the enclosed blue lye until the color change occurs, and read off the acid value on the scale.

The complete set includes everything you need for the titration. This way you know exactly where you stand before acidifying or deacidifying, and you don't work on a hunch. The acidometer comes from the range of the traditional Kitzinger company (Arauner, Kitzingen, 1897 to 2024) and is one of the original remaining stocks that we continue to offer.

Contents: acidometer complete set including blue lye

Measures: total acidity in must and wine

Application: titrate the sample with blue lye, read the acid value on the scale

Origin: original Kitzinger (Arauner, Kitzingen)

Hazard information

Signal word: Warning · Blue lye (dilute sodium hydroxide solution, included in the set)

H290 May be corrosive to metals.

H315 Causes skin irritation.

H319 Causes serious eye irritation.

P280 Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.

P302+P352 IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water.

P305+P351+P338 IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes.
