If you sweeten a dry wine with sugar, you risk refermentation in the bottle. SweetFix avoids that problem: the sweetener contains no sugar and no fermentable carbohydrates, so the yeast finds nothing that could set it fermenting again. The wine stays stable and the alcohol content does not change.

According to the manufacturer, its sweetening power is around 450 times that of sugar, so you work with very small amounts. Add SweetFix once fermentation and fining are complete — ideally to a small sample first, which you taste before sweetening the whole batch. SweetFix is intended for private home use only, not for commercial winemaking.
