Joenos Yeast Nutrient Salt (Fermentation Salt), 1 kg Pure DAP for Yeast Nutrition

Yeast needs more than sugar: without sufficient nitrogen, fermentation stalls or drags on unnecessarily. Yeast nutrient salt made from 100 % DAP (diammonium phosphate) supplies your yeast with the nitrogen it needs for rapid cell growth and an even fermentation process.

Application is simple: dissolve the salt in 10 times the amount of must or drinking water and add the solution to the fermentation vessel. The manufacturer states a dosage of 50 to 100 g per hectolitre; we recommend 30 g per 100 litres (3 g per 10 litres), which is the upper limit of the German guidelines for wine-like drinks, 20 g for light apple wine. The 1 kg pack in a resealable bag is therefore enough for many fermentations. Store it cool, dry and protected from foreign odours, and use up the contents promptly once opened.
