Press varnish serves as a protective coating for the outside surfaces of wine barrels and presses and for cleanly resealing opened containers. It is only suitable for surfaces that come into contact with wine if the manufacturer expressly declares it suitable for food contact (Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004); we do not have such a declaration. This white varnish is spirit-soluble and formulated on a natural basis, specifically for treating barrels in the wine cellar.

The 750 ml tin is enough for several barrels. Apply the varnish properly and let it air out as per the instructions. Stored cool and dry, it keeps for around two years. As a solvent-based product, please use it in a well-ventilated environment.
